PUTRAJAYA: A housewife from Kedah and another from Penang died of dengue last week, Health director-general Datuk Seri Dr Hasan Abdul Rahman said.
The victims, aged 31 and 49, died in hospital, he added. “A check in the area where one of the victims was staying showed a high percentage of aedes mosquitoes breeding.
The owner was fined a maximum of RM500.”
Last week, 567 dengue cases were reported with two deaths, he said.
